I was commissioned to design a cabinet/shelving unit. Because it was to be a massive unit, I wanted to soften and articulate the surfaces so that it wouldn’t overwhelm the room. Also, it had to be modular so that it could be fabricated elsewhere and then installed in manageable pieces.
